Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our browser AI image background remover.
Yes, RemoveBG.cfd is 100% free to use with no account creation, no subscriptions, and no hidden credit counters. Processing runs in your browser, so we keep server costs low and can offer the tool openly. We may show ads or affiliate links to support it.
Currently no. Your image is processed in your browser using client-side AI (WebAssembly), and we do not store it. This may change if we add server-side features, and we will say so here and in our Privacy Policy.
We support all common image formats including JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP up to 15MB in file size and up to 4096px in resolution. The output is always delivered as a crisp, lossless transparent PNG.
When you select an image, a neural segmentation model runs inside your browser using WebAssembly on your device's processor. It calculates a transparency mask and applies it to the image, without sending the image anywhere. The first Removal takes longer because the model downloads once.
The model handles most people, products and pets well, including a lot of hair and fur. Very fine strands, glass and low-contrast edges can come out rough, so check them in the before/after slider and on the white and black previews before downloading.
Yes. On the result screen, choose white, black, grey or any custom color as the backdrop, then download a PNG with that background filled in. The transparent PNG is always available too. This is useful for product listings, profile pictures and documents.
Rough edges usually come from low contrast between subject and background, fine hair, motion blur, or see-through objects like glass. Try a sharper, better-lit Original with a clearer separation from the background, then check the Cutout on a light and dark backdrop before using it.
