How to use Crop Image
- Choose an image.
- Pick a ratio such as 1:1 or 16:9, then use the sliders to size and position the crop.
- Download the cropped image.
Which ratio for which site
1:1 suits profile pictures, marketplace thumbnails and Instagram square posts. 4:5 is the tallest Instagram feed post. 16:9 fits YouTube thumbnails, slides and most video. 9:16 fits stories and reels. 3:2 is the shape most cameras shoot.
Crop first, then resize
Crop keeps the original pixels in the area you choose. If a site also needs an exact pixel size, crop to the ratio here, then set the size in Resize Image so nothing gets stretched.
