Resize Image
Set an exact width and height, or scale by percentage. The aspect ratio stays locked unless you unlock it.
Select Image
Drag & drop, paste, or browse. JPG, PNG, WEBP.
How to use Resize Image
- Choose an image.
- Type a new width or height, or pick a percentage. Unlock the ratio to set both freely.
- Download the resized image in its original format.
Resize or compress?
Resizing changes the number of pixels; compressing changes how they are stored. Halving the width and height leaves a quarter of the pixels, which usually cuts the file size far more than lowering the quality does. For the smallest file, resize first, then compress.
Common sizes
Instagram square post: 1080 × 1080. Instagram portrait post: 1080 × 1350. Story or reel cover: 1080 × 1920. YouTube thumbnail: 1280 × 720. Link preview (Open Graph) image: 1200 × 630. Unlock the ratio to type an exact size, or use Crop Image first so the picture isn't stretched.
